Akane Yanagi

Akane Yanagi is a supporting character in the Horimiya anime (the 2021 adaptation), a third-year student at Katagiri High School in a neighboring class to the main group.

He's portrayed as extremely handsome — often considered one of the most attractive guys in the series (even more so than Miyamura in some characters' opinions, like Hori's). He has light pink hair (with a dark undercut), pink eyes, and fair skin. At school, he wears contact lenses due to his very poor eyesight (he often loses or breaks them, and sometimes switches to glasses outside school).

Personality-wise, Akane is gentle, polite, and mild-mannered, always speaking courteously to everyone. He comes across as reserved and calm but isn't antisocial — he's friendly and integrates well into the group's social circle. He's also known for his gentlemanly demeanor and has a bit of clumsiness tied to his vision issues and morning struggles.

In the anime, he develops feelings for Yuki Yoshikawa (leading to a memorable confession scene) and hangs out with the core friend group including Hori, Miyamura, and others. Overall, he's a sweet, good-natured guy who's popular for his looks and kind personality.
