Molt Sol Augustus

Molt Sol Augustus is the emperor of the Empire in the anime Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri (Gate: Thus the JSDF Fought There!).

He is an elderly ruler with light blonde hair, a beard, sharp blue eyes, and regal attire often including a crown-like ornament. As Piña Co Lada's father, he serves as a major political figure and initial antagonist.

In the anime, Molt is portrayed as stoic, highly intelligent, calculating, and coldly manipulative. He maintains tight control over his emotions to project strength before the Senate and his subjects, in contrast to his more volatile family members like his son Zorzal.

He orchestrates the Empire's initial invasion through the Gate to expand power and influence but grows pragmatic about the JSDF's overwhelming superiority. Later developments show him shifting alliances for the Empire's survival, including supporting his daughter as successor.
