Lelei La Lalena

Lelei La Lalena (also romanized as Lelei la Lalena) is one of the main characters in the anime Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakeri (Gate: Thus the JSDF Fought There!).

She's a 15-year-old human sorceress and apprentice mage from the Special Region, serving as the second disciple of the elder sage Cato El Altestan. In the anime adaptation, she has short blue (sometimes described as turquoise or deeper blue) hair, blue eyes, and a petite build that makes her appear younger than her age.

She typically wears a green dress with a blue tabard over it, along with blue boots, and carries a staff.

Personality-wise, Lelei is calm, highly intelligent, and analytical — she rarely shows emotion and often maintains a stoic, expressionless face. She's a quick learner, eagerly studies modern science and Japanese (becoming fluent enough to act as a translator for the JSDF), and approaches magic and the world with a scholarly, logical mindset. In the anime, she also serves as the narrator for parts of the story.
