Genau

Genau is a first-class mage in Frieren: Beyond Journey's End. He serves as the proctor/examiner for the first stage of the First-Class Mage Exam in Äußerst, where he oversees a deliberately challenging and conflict-heavy test that results in some examinee deaths, showing a notably cold and remorseless demeanor (which draws criticism from others like Sense).

He is a tall, middle-aged human man with short, neatly combed light-brown hair (side-parted with an undercut) and typically wears the traditional dark-blue attire of first-class mages. His name is German for "exact" or "precise," fitting his stern, disciplined, and emotionless personality. Later in the story, he reappears in connection with events on the Northern Plateau involving his hometown.
