Sōma Yukihira

Sōma Yukihira is the main protagonist of Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma (Shokugeki no Soma).

He is a highly confident, energetic, and fearless 16-year-old chef who grew up working at his family's small diner, Yukihira Restaurant, in a working-class neighborhood. Raised by his single father, Jōichirō Yukihira (a legendary but eccentric chef), Sōma developed exceptional cooking skills from a young age through constant challenges and "battles" against his dad and the diner's tough customers.

After his father suddenly closes the restaurant and heads overseas to train, Sōma enrolls at Tōtsuki Culinary Academy, one of the most elite and ruthless cooking schools in the world, where only 10% of students graduate. Despite coming from a humble background and lacking formal training, he quickly proves himself as an extraordinary talent.
