Leonard Burns

Leonard Burns is a prominent character in the anime Fire Force (Enen no Shouboutai). He is the former captain (battalion commander) of Special Fire Force Company 1 and a Third Generation pyrokinetic.

He is a tall, muscular veteran firefighter in his 50s, with wavy grey hair (partly in a ponytail), a chin-strap beard, green eyes, and often wears an eye patch over his right eye (which is severely burned from past events). He is known for his immense strength, combat prowess, and a powerful Ignition Ability called Voltage Nova, which allows him to burn flames inside his body like a furnace to dramatically boost his physical abilities and firepower over time—earning him nicknames like "Fire Incarnate" or "The White Lion."

Burns is a highly respected and duty-driven figure with a deep religious background tied to the Holy Sol Temple, though his story involves complex motivations, past traumas (including connections to key events like the Kusakabe family fire), and significant battles throughout the series.
