About Granolah

Granolah is a key character from the Granolah the Survivor Saga in Dragon Ball Super. As the anime adaptation of Dragon Ball Super has not yet covered this arc (it remains manga-only so far), his portrayal is primarily based on the manga version under Akira Toriyama's supervision, which the anime would likely follow closely if/when animated.

He is the last surviving member of the Cerealian race (from Planet Cereal), whose people were largely wiped out decades ago during a Saiyan invasion under Frieza's orders. Granolah works as a skilled bounty hunter and sniper, driven by an intense desire for revenge against the Saiyans (and eventually Frieza) for the destruction of his home and family.

In terms of personality, he's stern, serious, cold, and uninviting on the surface—shaped by trauma, solitude, and obsession with vengeance. This makes him initially come across as a ruthless antagonist who refuses to listen to reason or consider nuance in his grudge. Over time, his story explores deeper themes of revenge, truth, redemption, and growth as he confronts revelations about the past.

Physically (as described in source material), he has pale skin, wavy turquoise/green hair, heterochromia (one red eye and one green/dark eye), and often wears an eyepatch or specialized eyewear that ties into his race's evolved sharpshooting abilities, allowing exceptional precision and targeting at long range. He fights with a mix of ki-based attacks, marksmanship, and later hand-to-hand combat skills.

He's one of the more tragic and layered antagonists-turned-ally figures introduced in the series' later storylines.
