Yo Uei

Yo Uei (also romanized as You Uei) is a supporting character in the Dr. Stone anime, introduced during the Stone Wars arc (Season 2).

He's a pre-petrification human and a former policeman from the modern world before everyone was turned to stone. Revived by Tsukasa, he initially serves as an enforcer in the Tsukasa Empire, where he's shown as abrasive, arrogant, and eager to climb the ranks. He has a lean, muscular build, wild spiky auburn hair, and a distinctive large stone fragment that persistently covers his right eye like an eyepatch (even after he tries to remove it).

In the anime adaptation, his personality leans into a mix of over-the-top bravado and comic relief—he's cocky about his strength and police background (including a reputation for being overly aggressive with suspects back in the day), but he's also pragmatic enough to fake his death and defect when things go south for him in the Empire. He eventually switches sides and joins the Kingdom of Science after the conflict resolves, becoming a somewhat unreliable but useful ally in later seasons.
