Taiju Oki

Taiju Oki is one of the main characters in the Dr. Stone anime, serving as Senku Ishigami's best friend and a key early protagonist.

Appearance: He's depicted as a tall, heavily muscular teenage guy with spiky brown hair, thick eyebrows, and distinctive vertical stone markings on his face (one above and under his left eye, another under his right eye). In the Stone World, he wears simple primitive clothing like a sleeveless cloak tied with rope and basic boots.

Personality and role: Taiju is extremely kind-hearted, outgoing, enthusiastic, and friendly—often full of energy and yelling with excitement even over small things. Despite his immense physical strength and seemingly endless stamina (he's the powerhouse for heavy lifting, hunting, and labor), he's a committed pacifist who refuses to throw punches or fight aggressively, preferring to block attacks and protect others. He's deeply loyal to his friends, especially Senku and Yuzuriha Ogawa (whom he has a long-standing crush on), and his sheer determination helped him survive thousands of years petrified.

He's basically the "brawn" to Senku's "brains" in their mission to rebuild civilization, making him a reliable and wholesome supporting pillar in the anime's early arcs and beyond.
