Ibara

Ibara is a major antagonist in the Dr. Stone anime, specifically the main villain during the Treasure Island arc (adapted in Dr. Stone: New World).

He serves as the tyrannical minister (or prime minister) of the Petrification Kingdom on Treasure Island. Originally an advisor to the island's true leader (the "Head"), Ibara betrayed and petrified him using the petrification device (Medusa), then seized control. He rules through fear, manipulation, and cruelty—frequently using the device to turn people to stone for disobedience or threats to his power, while demanding personal luxuries like a harem.

In terms of appearance (as shown in the anime), he's depicted as an extremely tall, muscular middle-aged man with a thin face, sunken cheeks, a prominent nose, a twirled mustache, and a long goatee. He has distinctive triangle-patterned tattoos covering much of his body and wears a simple white robe tied with a sash.

Personality-wise, he's cunning, paranoid, vigilant, and highly detail-oriented—often observing situations carefully before acting. He's also portrayed as selfish, perverted, sadistic, and irredeemably villainous, lacking the redeeming qualities or sympathetic motivations seen in many other antagonists in the series.

He ultimately faces off against Senku and the Kingdom of Science in a battle of wits over the petrification device, leading to his defeat.
