About Gyutaro

Gyutaro (妓夫太郎, Gyūtarō) is a major antagonist in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, specifically the main villain of the Entertainment District Arc.

He is an Upper Rank Six demon of the Twelve Kizuki, sharing that position with his younger sister Daki (whom he protects obsessively and often hides within her body). As demons, they were originally humans from the lowest slums of Yoshiwara's Entertainment District over a century ago, where Gyutaro worked as a debt collector before both were transformed by Upper Rank Two Doma.

Gyutaro has a striking and grotesque appearance: tall and muscular in his upper body but unnaturally skinny at the waist (almost skeletal), with pale gray skin covered in black blotches and markings, short messy black hair fading to lime green, yellow sclera, dark green irises marked with the kanji for "Upper Rank Six," and a generally unkempt, ugly look he is very self-conscious about.

Personality-wise, he is cruel, ruthless, petty, deeply envious of anyone with a better life, and quick to anger—often sarcastically "complimenting" his opponents' best traits right before viciously attacking them. Despite his brutality, his fierce devotion to his sister adds tragic depth to his character.

He wields dual sickles as weapons and uses a deadly Blood Demon Art involving flying blood blades and slashes.
