About Kiriya Ubuyashiki

Kiriya Ubuyashiki is a major supporting character in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is the only son (and middle child) of Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the former leader of the Demon Slayer Corps, and part of the quintuplet siblings.

Kiriya initially appears during the Final Selection arc, where he and one of his sisters explain the rules to the candidates. He has a gentle, composed demeanor and often presents with a more feminine appearance early on (due to family traditions related to the Ubuyashiki curse and protecting the male heir).

After his father's death and the sacrifice of other family members during the confrontation with Muzan Kibutsuji, the young Kiriya (only 8 years old at the time) becomes the 98th and final leader (Oyakata) of the Demon Slayer Corps. He takes on the heavy responsibility of commanding the Hashira and coordinating the final battles against Muzan and the demons.

In the story's conclusion, after Muzan's defeat, Kiriya disbands the Corps and lives a long life into old age (breaking the family's generational curse). He is voiced by Aoi Yūki in Japanese and Christine Marie Cabanos in English.
