Saori Ohtori

Saori Ohtori (also romanized as Ootori or Ōtori Saori) is a supporting character in the anime Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, primarily appearing in the early episodes (especially Episode 1).

She is a beautiful young woman who worked in the accounting department at the same exploitative company as the protagonist, Akira Tendō. Akira had a major crush on her, viewing her as kind, friendly, and compassionate — she was the inspiration for the first item on his bucket list ("confess to the woman I love"). In the pre-zombie-apocalypse world, she appeared as an ideal, hopeful figure that helped him endure the toxic work environment.

However, it's revealed that she was secretly involved in a submissive relationship with their sleazy boss (the company president), becoming his mistress to secure her position and better working conditions amid the company's pressures. During the zombie outbreak, she turns into a zombie while at home with the boss.

In the anime, her role serves to highlight Akira's pre-apocalypse struggles, his unrequited feelings, and the moment he finally "confesses" to her (in a darkly comedic, tragic way after she's already zombified), marking a key step in his liberation and shift in mindset. She is voiced by Sora Amamiya in Japanese (and Lauren Landa in English).
