About Moroha Haimura

Moroha Haimura is the main protagonist of the anime World Break: Aria of Curse for a Holy Swordsman (also known as Seiken Tsukai no World Break).

He's a 15-year-old high school student who enrolls at Akane Academy, a special school where students known as "Saviors" train to fight monstrous threats called Metaphysicals using powers awakened from their past lives. What makes Moroha unique is that he's the first (and only) Savior shown to have memories from two past lives, earning him the title Ancient Dragon.

  • In one past life, he was Flaga (or Kensei Flaga), a legendary Shirogane, a swordsman type who excels in close combat, manifesting weapons and martial techniques with Light Arts (prana-based physical enhancement).
  • In the other, he was Shu Saura, a powerful Kuroma, a dark magic user who casts spells with mana, often forbidden or destructive in nature.

This dual heritage allows him to wield both Shirogane swordsmanship (with his signature straight katana named Salatiga) and Kuroma magic, making him exceptionally versatile and powerful compared to others who only have one past life.

Personality-wise, in the anime, Moroha comes across as dependable, straightforward, and level-headed in fights or serious situations, but he's also easily flustered or embarrassed around girls (especially the two who are tied to his past lives: Satsuki Ranjou and Shizuno Urushibara), often ending up in comedic harem-like scenarios. He starts off somewhat laid-back and ordinary in everyday life but grows into his role as a top-tier Savior.
