Elena Arshavina

Elena Arshavina (also known as Lesya) is a key supporting character in the anime World Break: Aria of Curse for a Holy Swordsman. She appears as a transfer student from Russia to Akane Academy in Japan.

She is introduced as a beautiful teenage girl with shoulder-length silver-white hair and gray eyes, often noted for her striking and attractive appearance. Elena is a trained assassin and a powerful Savior, nicknamed the "Maneater" due to her cursed demon sword Replazan, which can consume and nullify both prana-based (light) and mana-based (dark) abilities.

Initially, she approaches the protagonist Moroha Haimura under false pretenses (confessing affection and seeking to get close to him) while secretly tasked with assassinating him, motivated by manipulated memories and threats involving a supposed younger brother. Her cold, calculative demeanor stems from her harsh upbringing and assassin training, giving her an emotionless and ruthless edge at first.

As the story progresses (particularly in her focused episodes), her tragic backstory is revealed, including being an orphaned only child whose memories were altered by manipulation. After key events involving Moroha, she breaks free from her cursed sword's influence and develops genuine feelings for him, shifting from antagonist-like role to ally and romantic interest.
