Mark Bean

Mark Bean is a supporting character in the anime Wise Man's Grandchild (Kenja no Mago). He's a teenage student at the magic academy, initially in A-Class but promoted to S-Class (ranked around 10th or 11th) after joining Shin Wolford's Ultimate Magic Research Society and improving his magic control significantly.

Coming from a family of blacksmiths (his family runs "Bean Works" or a similar smithy), Mark has a toned, athletic build from helping out there. He's portrayed as energetic and hyper-active, yet polite—often ending sentences with "-desu" in the Japanese version for a formal/cute touch—and he gets easily embarrassed. He's in a relationship with Olivia Stone, another S-Class member, and becomes good friends with the rest of the group despite being a relative newcomer to their circle. In one episode, he takes Shin and others to his family's blacksmith shop, where Shin commissions work and gets ideas involving magical enhancements.

Overall, he's a friendly, supportive guy who's enthusiastic about Shin's innovative magic ideas and fits well into the group's dynamic.
