Lynn Hughes

Lynn Hughes (also romanized as Rin Hughes or Lynn Hyūzu) is a supporting character in the anime Wise Man's Grandchild (Kenja no Mago).

She's a petite teenage girl who wears glasses, has short black hair (to shoulders length), and red eyes. She's slightly taller than her friend Alice Corner and comes from a family tied to magic—her father is a court magician.

Lynn is generally quiet and speaks few words, but she gets noticeably excited and enthusiastic whenever it involves learning or observing Shin Wolford's innovative magic techniques. She joins the Ultimate Magic Research Society under Shin's influence and ranks 7th in the first-year S-Class.

Her magic control is notably reckless and overpowered in raw output (leading Shin to jokingly nickname her the "Unbridled Magical Girl," a playful reference that she seems to take as a badge of honor despite it not being a compliment). She specializes in elemental magic, particularly water, earth, wind, and lightning-based spells, often using them in high-pressure or destructive ways during training and battles.

In the anime, she's portrayed as one of the talented students who benefits from Shin's teaching, contributing to group efforts while showing her passion for pushing magical boundaries.
