Atla Fayon

Atla Fayon (also simply called Atla) is a supporting character introduced in Season 3 of The Rising of the Shield Hero anime.

She is a young Hakuko (white tiger-like) demi-human slave, the younger sister of Fohl, whom Naofumi purchases along with her brother from the Zeltoble slave market. She appears as a small child (around 10 years old in look), with white tiger features like ears and a tail.

Atla was born blind and suffered from a severe hereditary illness/weak constitution that left her frail, unable to walk properly, and near death. After Naofumi buys her, he uses a powerful medicine (Yggdrasil) combined with his shield's effects to heal her physical ailments (though she remains blind). This cure allows her to sense "ki" (life energy) extremely well, letting her "see" and fight by perceiving surroundings and opponents through energy rather than sight.

Personality-wise, she's strong-willed, intelligent, determined, and fiercely loyal to Naofumi—whom she views as her savior. She develops strong romantic feelings toward him, often acting clingy or possessive in her affection (e.g., declaring herself his "shield" to complement Raphtalia as his "sword," and even sneaking into his bed). She's proactive in wanting to fight and protect him, showing prodigious talent in combat despite her young age and blindness, mastering techniques like Hengen Musou style to strike vital points.

She becomes one of Naofumi's key allies in battles against the Waves, showcasing impressive growth and dedication.
