Fuyou

Lady Fuyou (also referred to as Concubine Fuyou or Princess Fuyou) is a minor character in the anime adaptation of The Apothecary Diaries.

She is a princess from the vassal state of Anan who was sent to become a mid-level consort in the Emperor of Li's imperial harem against her will. In the anime, she appears as a graceful and beautiful woman with pale skin, pink eyes, and long, silky wavy dark hair. Her appearance is noted to resemble people from Li more closely than typical Ananese features, and her beauty is considered comparable to that of the higher-ranking consorts.

Fuyou features in one of the early side stories investigated by Maomao, involving mysterious nighttime dancing in the palace. She is portrayed as elegant and determined, ultimately finding a way to secure a happier outcome tied to her past. Her arc is often highlighted as a touching, romantic side tale in the series.
