Mari Ishida

Mari Ishida is a minor character in the Solo Leveling anime, appearing primarily during the Jeju Island Raid arc (around Season 2 / later episodes).

She is a Japanese S-Rank Hunter affiliated with the Draw Sword Guild, led by Goto Ryuji. As one of Japan's top hunters, she was selected for the international raid team to clear the high-threat Jeju Island gate. In the anime adaptation, she is depicted as a short young woman with orange (or reddish) hair in a bob cut, brown eyes, and a somewhat reserved, quiet demeanor—often staying in the background rather than standing out prominently.

Her role is limited; she doesn't get much screen time to showcase her abilities or personality in depth, as her involvement focuses on the raid's tragic events. She meets a sudden and brutal end during the confrontation with the Ant King, highlighting the overwhelming danger of the raid (similar to several other S-Rank hunters in that sequence).

Voiced by Yūko Natsuyoshi in Japanese and Kristen McGuire in English. She's more of a supporting figure to emphasize the stakes and power levels involved rather than a deeply developed character.
