Atsushi Kumamoto

Atsushi Kumamoto is a Japanese S-Rank Hunter and a member of the Draw Sword Guild (also referred to as the Blade Guild in some contexts). In the anime adaptation of Solo Leveling (particularly prominent in Season 2 during the Jeju Island Raid arc), he appears as part of the international raid party assembled to tackle the ant-infested island.

He has a distinctive look with long, messy black hair, sharp facial features, a white surgical mask, and a white eyepatch over his left eye. His personality comes across as somewhat cowardly or quick to lose composure, even when he's not truly threatened.

His key ability is a berserker/frenzied state triggered when he's severely injured — this causes his eyes to glow red and makes him attack indiscriminately with heightened aggression and no regard for allies or enemies, boosting his already impressive physical strength and speed (as shown in the pre-raid sparring scenes where he keeps up with top Korean S-Ranks like Baek Yoonho and nearly reaches Cha Hae-In).

In the anime, he's voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Japanese) and Todd Haberkorn (English dub). He plays a supporting role in the high-stakes raid events but doesn't get extensive screen time compared to main characters.
