Igris

Igris (also referred to as Igris the Bloodred or Knight Commander Igris the Bloodred in the anime) is one of the most iconic and fan-favorite characters in the Solo Leveling anime.

He first appears as the powerful boss of the Job Change Quest dungeon, known as the Blood-Red Commander. In this form, he's a tall, imposing knight fully clad in striking blood-red armor, complete with a helmet featuring a long red plume, glowing white eyes visible through the visor, and a tattered red cape. He wields a massive sword with exceptional skill and agility, making him a formidable and intimidating opponent during his intense duel with Sung Jinwoo.

After Jinwoo defeats him, Igris becomes the first named shadow soldier in Jinwoo's army. As a shadow, his appearance shifts to jet-black armor from head to toe, with a light purple glow, a tattered black cape, and a long red hair-like ornament flowing from the back of his helmet. He retains a visible scar over one eye (the right eye in the anime version) from his battle with Jinwoo.

Personality-wise, Igris is the epitome of a chivalrous knight: deeply loyal, respectful, honorable, and disciplined. He shows unwavering devotion to his master (Jinwoo), often kneeling in respect after completing tasks or battles on his behalf—a recurring trait that highlights his gallant nature. Even as an enemy, he displayed fairness (like discarding his sword when Jinwoo chose to fight unarmed). As a shadow, he remains one of Jinwoo's most reliable and strongest generals, serving as a right-hand man in the shadow army.

Overall, the anime portrays him as a silent, dignified warrior whose presence commands respect, blending overwhelming combat prowess with old-school knightly virtues.
