Baran

In the Solo Leveling anime (particularly in Season 2 during the Return to Demon Castle arc), Baran appears as the final boss of the Demon Castle dungeon, titled the Demon Monarch or Monarch of White Flames (also known as the King of Demons).

The version Jinwoo fights is a powerful clone/recreation of the original ancient Monarch, designed as a challenging opponent within the System's dungeon. He is portrayed as an imposing, muscular demonic figure with a menacing presence, riding a massive dragon mount (which later becomes Jinwoo's shadow Kaisel after the battle). In the anime adaptation, he has a distinctive purple-toned skin, horns, and wields devastating abilities like lightning-based attacks, white flames, summoning demon armies, and high-speed charges.

Baran serves as one of Jinwoo's toughest opponents up to that point in the anime, pushing him hard in an intense aerial and ground battle before ultimately being defeated (with some help from a distraction by Esil). He doesn't have much dialogue or deep personality shown in his anime appearance—he's mostly a silent, ferocious, and overwhelming force of nature focused on combat.
