Mallow

Mallow (known as Mao in Japanese) is one of Ash's classmates at the Pokémon School in the Alola region during Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon.

She's an upbeat, energetic, friendly, and kind-hearted girl who gets along well with her friends and is quick to welcome others (like Ash when he first arrived). She can be a bit scatterbrained or goofy at times, but she's very caring, protective of her friends, and always willing to help out. Mallow has a strong passion for cooking and often helps at her family's restaurant (Aina's Kitchen/Cafeteria), where she experiments with recipes—though her taste in flavors can sometimes be... unique.

She specializes in Grass-type Pokémon, with her main partner being Tsareena (which evolves from Bounsweet to Steenee over the course of the series). She's also part of the group that becomes the Ultra Guardians. Overall, she's portrayed as cheerful, hardworking, and emotionally thoughtful, with some storylines exploring her family and personal growth.
