Leon

Leon is the Pokémon Champion of the Galar region in the anime (primarily appearing in Pokémon Journeys: The Series). He was long portrayed as the undefeated "Monarch" of the World Coronation Series, widely regarded as the strongest Trainer in the world until he was defeated by Ash Ketchum in the Masters Eight Tournament finals, losing his top ranking.

In the anime, Leon is a tall, athletic young man with a charismatic, larger-than-life presence. He has distinctive wild, spiky purple hair, amber/yellow eyes, and a warm brown skin tone. His signature outfit includes a crown-themed baseball cap, a dramatic red cape with fur lining and sponsor logos, and a stylish ensemble featuring a sword-and-shield motif.

Personality-wise, he's bold, confident, kindhearted, and enthusiastic about battling and helping others (and Pokémon). Despite his immense skill and celebrity status, he has a notable quirk: he has a terrible sense of direction and frequently gets lost, even in familiar places, which adds a relatable, humorous side to his otherwise heroic image.

His partner Pokémon is a powerful Charizard (often Gigantamax-capable in battles), and he's known for putting on exciting, showy performances in matches.
