Jasmine

Jasmine (known as Mikan in Japanese) is the Olivine City Gym Leader in the Johto region, specializing in Steel-type Pokémon. In the anime (primarily appearing during Ash's Johto journey in episodes like "Fight for the Light!" and "Nerves of Steelix!"), she is portrayed as a very kind, gentle, and compassionate young woman who deeply cares for her Pokémon.

She has a soft-spoken and somewhat reserved personality, refusing to battle challengers (including Ash) until her sick Ampharos at the Olivine Lighthouse recovers, showing her nurturing and responsible side. She treats her Pokémon with great affection and emphasizes listening to them with both ears and heart.

In battle, however, she becomes noticeably more confident and focused. Her key Pokémon include a loyal Magnemite (often seen with her) and a powerful Steelix as her ace.

She wears a simple white dress with a large bow and white sandals, has long light brown hair (with two short pigtail-like sections tied by orange beads), fair skin, and brown eyes. Overall, she's depicted as a sweet, caring figure who's both approachable and formidable as a Gym Leader.
