Cara Liss

Cara Liss is a quirky and eccentric fossil researcher from the Galar region who appears in Pokémon Journeys: The Series (the anime adaptation of Pokémon Sword and Shield elements).

She specializes in reviving ancient Fossil Pokémon using her unique restoration machine, though her methods often result in mismatched hybrid Pokémon (like Dracovish and Arctozolt) due to mixing up fossil parts. In the anime, she works alongside fellow researcher Bray Zenn and meets Ash, Goh, and Chloe during their visit to the Wild Area in Galar.

Her personality is notably laid-back, odd, and somewhat lazy—she speaks in a peculiar way (sometimes referring to herself in the third person and frequently adding "huh?" as a verbal tic). She's enthusiastic about her fossil work but tends to invent dramatic or questionable "theories" on the spot to explain her creations' bizarre appearances and abilities.

She later appears in additional episodes, including some World Coronation Series battles where she faces off against Ash as a strong trainer.
