Shoto Todoroki

Shoto Todoroki is one of the main characters in My Hero Academia.

He is a student in Class 1-A at U.A. High School and is widely regarded as one of the strongest students in his year. His hero name is Shoto.

Quirk: Half-Cold Half-Hot

• Right side: Ice creation and manipulation
• Left side: Fire creation and manipulation

He is the son of the No. 1 (later No. 2) hero Endeavor and has a very complex and initially strained relationship with his father due to Endeavor's abusive training methods and ambition to surpass All Might.

Personality-wise, Shoto starts off as serious, aloof, and emotionally reserved, largely because he refused to use his fire side for years as an act of rebellion against his father. Over the course of the series he gradually opens up, becomes more expressive, makes close friends (especially with Midoriya, Bakugo, and Iida), and begins to accept and integrate both halves of his power.

Appearance:

• Distinctive two-toned hair (white on the right, red on the left)
• Heterochromia (one gray eye, one turquoise eye)
• A burn scar over his left eye and cheek (from his mother when he was a child)

In short: incredibly powerful, stoic but kind-hearted, with a tragic family backstory and one of the most impressive character growth arcs in the series.
