Yan Min

Yan Min (also romanized as Yang Ming) is a supporting character in the Maken-ki! anime, serving as the special attack specialist for the elite international group Venus (often positioned as rivals to Tenbi Academy's students).

In the anime adaptation, she is depicted as a confident, proud, and highly skilled fighter of Chinese descent. She has a striking appearance with long dark hair (typically in a side ponytail with smaller side tails), oriental features, and often wears distinctive Chinese-style clothing or headwear alongside her Venus uniform. Her personality comes across as smug and arrogant about her abilities and those of her team, though she shows respect toward truly strong opponents (like acknowledging certain fighters' prowess).

Her abilities revolve around lightning-based powers, with her signature weapon (called a Jingu in her case) being Kinben, a two-tailed whip. She can integrate it into her body for enhanced speed and reflexes (via "Reirii") and unleash attacks like Thunder Fist (Reichin) for powerful electrified strikes.

She acts as a direct rival to Azuki Shinatsu, clashing with her in combat scenarios, and frequently teams up with other Venus members like Demitra. In the anime (covering the first season and Maken-ki! Two), her role emphasizes high-speed, aggressive fighting style and her elite status within Venus.
