Masamichi Yaga

Masamichi Yaga is a supporting character in Jujutsu Kaisen. He serves as the principal of Tokyo Jujutsu High and is a Grade 1 jujutsu sorcerer.

He specializes in cursed corpse techniques (also called puppet jujutsu), allowing him to create and manipulate animated corpses infused with cursed energy. His most notable creation is Panda, an independent, sentient cursed corpse whom he treats as a son (and who becomes a student at the school).

In the past, before becoming principal (sometime after 2006), Yaga was a teacher who mentored second-year students including Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Shoko Ieiri.

Personality-wise, he's depicted as stern, thoughtful, earnest, and patient — a positive role model with a strong moral compass. He values developing his students (often through tough but fair methods) and shares a progressive attitude toward protecting and guiding the younger generation, despite clashing with the conservative higher-ups in the jujutsu world.
