Baraqiel

Baraqiel is a prominent character in High School DxD. He is a high-ranking Fallen Angel, serving as the Vice Governor General of Grigori (the organization of Fallen Angels). He is one of the Cadre-class leaders and a close friend of Azazel.

He is the biological father of Akeno Himejima (from his relationship with Shuri Himejima, a human shrine maiden) and is known for his mastery over powerful lightning-based abilities, often referred to as "Lightning of God" or Holy Lightning (which Akeno inherited).

Appearance-wise, he looks like a middle-aged, gruff, muscular man with black hair, a beard, and ten black wings (typical of high-level Fallen Angels).

Personality-wise, he has a serious, rigid, warrior-like demeanor and is extremely protective of his daughter Akeno — to the point of initially being hostile toward Issei Hyoudou when they meet. He appears more prominently starting around Volume 7 of the light novels and plays supporting roles in later arcs involving the Three Factions' alliances.
