Yamada Asaemon Jikka

Yamada Asaemon Jikka is a supporting character in the anime Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku (Season 1), where he appears briefly.

He is the 3rd-ranked executioner (Asaemon) of the Yamada clan, a group of skilled sword-testers and executioners serving the shogunate. Jikka is portrayed as notably laid-back and somewhat lazy compared to his more serious clan members, such as Shugen. He has a relaxed demeanor and doesn't seem overly dedicated to the clan's strict duties.

In the story, Jikka is assigned to monitor the death-row criminal Hōrubō during the first expedition to the dangerous island (Kotaku) in search of the Elixir of Life. His mission ends early when his assigned convict is killed at sea by another criminal (Aza Chōbei), allowing Jikka to return to the mainland relatively unscathed—making him one of the few to survive the island's perils at that point.

He has violet/purple hair tied in a topknot with side bangs, a bit of facial hair, and wears the clan's dark attire with red accents. Voiced by Kōji Yusa in Japanese (and SungWon Cho in English), Jikka's role in Season 1 is minor but sets him up as a unique figure among the Asaemon.
