Cow Girl's Uncle

Cow Girl's Uncle (often just called "Uncle") is a supporting character in the Goblin Slayer anime/light novel series. He is a dairy farmer who runs a farm outside the frontier town and serves as the guardian and adoptive uncle to Cow Girl after goblins massacred her family (and most of her village) during her childhood.

He reluctantly allows Goblin Slayer — Cow Girl's childhood friend and the sole other survivor of that tragedy — to live and stay on the farm between his goblin-hunting quests, largely at his niece's insistence. While he appreciates the extra security Goblin Slayer provides against goblin threats and the rent he pays, he strongly disapproves of Goblin Slayer's obsessive, single-minded lifestyle as an adventurer, viewing it as unhealthy and dangerous. He acts as a protective, somewhat gruff "father figure" to Cow Girl, often showing concern for her future and subtly (or not-so-subtly) expressing that he doesn't think Goblin Slayer is a suitable match for her.

In short, he's portrayed as a caring but pragmatic rural man who wants a normal, safe life for his niece while begrudgingly tolerating the helmet-wearing goblin-obsessed boarder living under his roof.
