Masumi Nishijima

Masumi Nishijima is a supporting character in Future Diary (Mirai Nikki). He is an honest, friendly, and dedicated police officer serving as the chief investigator for the Sakurami Police Force. He works as the subordinate and close aide to Keigo Kurusu.

Initially involved in investigations related to the survival game events (including early encounters with threats like Minene Uryuu), he becomes an ally to Yukiteru Amano within the police force. He is best known for his developing romantic connection with the terrorist-turned-participant Minene Uryuu, which includes a notable proposal moment in the story.

He is generally portrayed as one of the more morally upright and kind-hearted figures in the series' chaotic cast.
