Launch

Launch (also known as Lunch or Ranchi in Japanese) is a supporting character in the original Dragon Ball anime.

She is a young woman with a unique condition: she switches between two completely opposite personalities whenever she sneezes (due to her very sensitive nose).

• In her default/blue-haired form, she is sweet, cheerful, kind-hearted, innocent, and helpful — pure enough to ride the Flying Nimbus cloud.
• When she sneezes and transforms, her hair turns blonde, and she becomes aggressive, short-tempered, violent, and trigger-happy. This "bad" version is a career criminal who robs banks, carries a machine gun, and shoots at anyone who angers her (including friends like Goku, Krillin, or Master Roshi when they step out of line).

She first appears during the early arcs (around the time Goku and Krillin are training with Master Roshi), gets rescued from police, and ends up staying at Kame House for a while, providing comic relief through her unpredictable switches and chaos.

In the anime version of Dragon Ball, she has recurring appearances throughout the original series (often involved in humorous situations or helping out), develops a crush on Tien Shinhan, and shows up in some filler content. Her gimmick was a big part of the early series' lighthearted humor, though she fades out significantly later on.
