Hantengu is Upper Rank Four of the Twelve Kizuki in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He appears as a short, frail, elderly-looking demon with a thin, skeletal body covered in veins and wrinkles, often crouching and trembling in fear. He has two curved horns on his head, a large prominent bump between them, and a constant terrified expression.
Despite his pitiful, cowardly demeanor—constantly whining, hiding, and claiming innocence—he is a deceptive and ruthless demon. His Blood Demon Art allows him to split off manifestations of his emotions (such as anger, pleasure, sorrow, joy, and others) into powerful, independent clones that fight on his behalf while his main body cowers and avoids danger.
He serves as one of the main antagonists in the Swordsmith Village Arc.
