About Obanai Iguro

Obanai Iguro is a major supporting character in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (Kimetsu no Yaiba). He serves as the Serpent Hashira (Snake Pillar), one of the elite top-ranking members of the Demon Slayer Corps.

He is a short young man (around 162 cm / 5'4") with a lean, muscular build, pale skin, and distinctive raven-black hair of varying lengths. He has heterochromia (different colored eyes): his left eye is teal/turquoise, while his right eye is yellow (and he's partially blind in that eye). He usually keeps the lower half of his face covered with bandages to hide deep scars on his mouth, and he's almost always accompanied by his white snake companion, Kaburamaru, wrapped around his neck or shoulders. His haori features a black-and-white serpentine pattern.

Personality-wise, Obanai is very strict, harsh, and merciless, especially toward those who break the Corps' rules. He has a limited circle of people he truly cares about, shows deep loyalty to the Corps and its leader, and harbors intense self-loathing stemming from his traumatic family background. Despite his cold and rigid demeanor, he has a notable soft spot and romantic feelings for fellow Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji.

He wields Serpent Breathing, a derivative style that emphasizes twisting, unpredictable strikes resembling a snake's movements.
