Don Kanonji

Don Kanonji (full name: Misaomaru Kanonji) is a recurring comic relief character in Bleach.

He's a self-proclaimed spiritual medium and TV celebrity who hosts his own popular show called "Bostov! Soul Detective" (or similar dramatic titles depending on the translation). Don Kanonji dresses flamboyantly, wears red-tinted sunglasses, has a distinctive pompadour hairstyle, and constantly shouts his catchphrase "BOSTOV!" while striking exaggerated poses.

He genuinely has a small amount of spiritual power and can see ghosts/Pluses, but his abilities are extremely limited. He believes he's performing powerful exorcisms when in reality he's usually just making the spirits more agitated or accidentally pushing them toward becoming Hollows with his "energy balls" (which are mostly showmanship).

He first appears in the early Substitute Shinigami arc, mistakes Ichigo for a kindred spirit, and later becomes mildly recurring — occasionally showing up to cause unintentional trouble while thinking he's helping the cause of justice and spirits.

Overall, he's a well-meaning but extremely over-the-top, clueless attention-seeker who's mostly played for laughs.
