A Returner's Magic Should Be Special (original title: Kikansha no Mahou wa Tokubetsu desu) is a fantasy anime (12 episodes, aired Fall 2023) adapted from a popular Korean web novel/webtoon.

Quick synopsis: In a world threatened by mysterious "Shadow Worlds" (or Shadow Labyrinths), dangerous alternate dimensions filled with monsters that erode reality and could wipe out humanity, mage Desir Herrman and his party of heroes fight for over a decade to clear them. It's a classic time-loop/returner story with action, strategy (Desir excels at analytical magic rather than raw power), school elements, teamwork, and themes of redemption and preventing tragedy.
