Chazz Princeton

Chazz Princeton (known as Jun Manjoume in the Japanese version) is a prominent character and one of the main rivals to protagonist Jaden Yuki in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX.

He starts as an arrogant, elite, and highly privileged freshman at Duel Academy, immediately placed in the top-tier Obelisk Blue dormitory. Coming from a wealthy and influential family (the youngest of three brothers with powerful siblings in politics and finance), Chazz believes dueling is only for the superior "elite" and looks down on lower-ranked students and weaker cards. He's often portrayed as cocky, self-conceited, and petty—frequently compared to a Seto Kaiba-type figure in personality.

Over the course of the series, he undergoes significant character development: after early losses (especially to Jaden), family pressures, a stint at the rival North Academy, and various setbacks, he becomes more humble, resourceful, and open-minded. He famously embraces underdog cards like the quirky Ojama monsters and grows to value strategy and heart over raw power alone. Despite his tsundere-like attitude and comedic moments, he evolves into a more likable and determined duelist who repeatedly clashes with Jaden across multiple seasons.
