Izana Kurokawa

Izana Kurokawa is a major antagonist in the Tokyo Revengers anime, particularly prominent in the Tenjiku Arc (covered in Tokyo Revengers: Tenjiku-hen).

Appearance: He is depicted as a young man of average height (around 165 cm) with a distinctive look — tan/light brown skin (reflecting his half-Filipino heritage), large purple eyes, and straight short white/silver hair styled in a center-parted undercut. He often wears the Tenjiku gang uniform, including a red tailcoat, and is accessorized with Hanafuda-inspired earrings. He carries a confident, often fearless or smirking expression.

Personality and Role: Izana is cold, ruthless, and tyrannical as the leader (boss) of the Yokohama-based gang Tenjiku. He views his subordinates more as disposable tools than people and rules through fear and absolute authority. Deeply bitter and isolated due to a traumatic childhood (including abandonment, orphanage life, and learning he wasn't blood-related to the family he cherished), he harbors intense jealousy and resentment toward Mikey (Manjiro Sano), driving his vendetta to destroy the Tokyo Manji Gang (Toman) and isolate Mikey in loneliness like his own. Despite his cruelty, his actions stem from profound loneliness, a twisted desire for family/belonging, and manipulation by others. He's also an exceptionally skilled fighter, one of the strongest in the series, capable of matching top-tier opponents like Mikey in combat.
