Beloukas

Beloukas (also commonly called the Slave Trader) is a recurring supporting character in the anime The Rising of the Shield Hero. He is a short, middle-aged man with a creepy appearance, often dressed in a flashy, circus ringmaster-style outfit complete with a top hat, tuxedo, glasses, gloves, and a distinctive red bow tie.

He operates as a merchant in Melromarc's Castle Town who publicly sells monsters (such as eggs), but his real business is slave trading. He performs the slave crest/seal rituals that bind slaves to their owners and is known for being surprisingly honest and professional in his dealings despite his shady profession.

In the anime (particularly Season 1), he plays a key role in Naofumi's early story by selling him Raphtalia (his first companion) when Naofumi is desperate for allies, as well as the monster egg that later hatches into Filo. He maintains a mutually beneficial business relationship with Naofumi throughout the series, viewing him as a valued repeat customer.
