Aultcray Melromarc XXXII

Aultcray Melromarc XXXII is the king of Melromarc in the anime The Rising of the Shield Hero (primarily appearing in Season 1, with some presence later).

He is an older, regal-looking man with white/gray shoulder-length hair, a beard, and a confident yet condescending demeanor—especially toward the Shield Hero, Naofumi Iwatani. As king, he wears elaborate royal attire, including a purple robe with white fur trim and a jeweled crown.

In personality and actions (particularly in the early anime arcs), he displays clear favoritism toward his daughter Malty and open hostility/animosity toward the Shield Hero due to deep-seated prejudice against the Shield (tied to the kingdom's biases and his own backstory). He often comes across as biased, unfair in judgment, and willing to overlook or enable injustices against Naofumi while supporting the other Cardinal Heroes.

He's later famously stripped of his title by Queen Mirellia and publicly renamed "Trash" for his actions, marking a significant downfall. (Voiced by Yutaka Nakano in Japanese and Jamieson Price in English.)
