Isanari Uesugi is a supporting character in The Quintessential Quintuplets (Go-Toubun no Hanayome). He is the father of the protagonist Futaro Uesugi and his younger sister Raiha Uesugi.
He is portrayed as a somewhat immature and laid-back (sometimes described as "wild" or carefree) parent who looks surprisingly young, often wearing sunglasses and having a playful personality. The family lives in modest circumstances with financial struggles (including debt), and Isanari is known for being thrifty. Futaro is said to share some personality traits with his father from when he was younger, including initially being poor at studying.
Isanari has connections to the Nakano family through past school ties (he was friends with Maruo Nakano and had feelings for the late Rena Nakano). He appears occasionally in the series, often providing comic relief in family scenes.
