Reno

Reno (also referred to as Great Spirit Reno or Leno in some translations/subtitles) is a key supporting character in the anime adaptation of The Misfit of Demon King Academy, particularly prominent in the second season's arcs involving the spirits and the Mythical Age events from 2,000 years ago.

She is the Great Spirit born from rumors and legends as the mother and ruler of all spirits, residing in the great forest of Aharthern. Reno embodies kindness, honesty, and a gentle, welcoming nature, while also being fiercely protective of her spirit children and loved ones when needed. She is genuine, transparent, and loyal, capable of shifting between a compassionate demeanor and a resolute guardian role.

In the anime's portrayal, she becomes involved in the efforts to end the great war between races, eventually collaborating with Anos Voldigoad, the Goddess of Creation Militia, and Hero Kanon to create lasting peace through a major spell. She is also the wife of Shin Reglia (Anos's loyal right-hand man and swordsman) and has a significant connection to Misa Iliorogue.

Her design features long light green hair, amber eyes (often with heart-shaped pupils), pale skin, long elf-like ears, crystal-like wings, and a notably curvaceous figure, giving her an ethereal, fairy-like appearance. Voiced by Kana Asumi in Japanese (with Kira Buckland in English), she appears mostly in flashback-heavy or spirit-realm-focused episodes.
