Donovan Desmond is a key figure in the Spy x Family anime, serving as the primary target of Loid Forger's (Twilight's) Operation Strix. He is the chairman of Ostania's National Unity Party, a powerful political figure (and former prime minister) whose influence and potential actions threaten the fragile peace between Ostania and Westalis.

In terms of appearance (as shown in his debut in Season 1, Episode 25), Donovan is depicted as a tall, slim, middle-aged man with a gaunt, somewhat unsettling look: sunken circular black eyes that always seem wide open, closely shaved black hair with graying streaks, a prominent black mustache, no eyebrows, pierced ears, and noticeable scars along the sides of his head. He typically wears formal attire like a tan suit with a white shirt, black tie (often featuring a star-shaped brooch), giving him a sharp, imposing presence.

Personality-wise, in the anime, he's portrayed as highly reclusive, extremely suspicious of others, and inscrutable—even Loid finds him difficult to read during their brief meeting. He rarely appears in public, especially after stepping back from prime minister duties.
