Elsa Granhiert

Elsa Granhiert, also known as the Bowel Hunter, is a notorious assassin in Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World. She serves as the main antagonist in Arc 1 and a secondary one in Arc 4.

She is a tall, strikingly beautiful woman with long black hair (often braided to one side), purple eyes, pale skin, and a seductive, calm demeanor that hides her true nature. She typically wears a revealing black dress with a low neckline and high slits.

Elsa is a sadistic battle enthusiast who takes immense pleasure in killing, particularly in slicing open her victims' abdomens to view their entrails—hence her infamous nickname. She is highly skilled with blades, superhumanly agile, and possesses a regenerative curse (often misreferred to as a "blessing") that grants her effective immortality through rapid healing, though she can ultimately be killed under specific conditions.

She works under a mysterious figure known as "Mother" and has a sisterly bond with the character Meili Portroute. Her personality is soft-spoken and polite on the surface but becomes manic and excited during combat.
