Officer Jenny

Officer Jenny (Japanese: ジュンサーお姉さん Junsar Oneesan) is a recurring character in the Pokémon anime.

She is a police officer who appears in almost every region the protagonists visit. The Jenny family consists of many identical-looking women (all with the same appearance, hairstyle, and uniform), and they are all referred to as "Officer Jenny" — even by other characters who know there are multiple of them.

Key characteristics in the anime:

• Appearance: Short teal/turquoise hair, usually with two small pointed bangs, and a distinctive police uniform (typically a blue or green skirt suit with cap, depending on the region/era).
• Personality: Generally professional, serious, dedicated to justice, and no-nonsense, though some versions show a kinder or more comedic side.
• Role: She frequently assists Ash and friends when crimes occur (Team Rocket schemes, thieves, counterfeiters, etc.), often arriving on a motorcycle with her Growlithe or (in later regions) Herdier/ other Pokémon partners.
• Catchphrase variation: Characters commonly say things like "It's Officer Jenny!" whenever she appears, emphasizing how recognizable the family is.

She's one of the most consistent running gags in the Pokémon anime — the "everyone knows it's Jenny" trope — similar to Nurse Joy.
