Katy

Katy is the Bug-type Gym Leader of the Cortondo Gym in the Paldea region, appearing in the anime Pokémon Horizons: The Series.

In the anime version, she is portrayed as a cheerful and kind-hearted pastry chef who runs a bakery (Patisserie Soapberry) alongside her Gym Leader duties. She has a slightly plump build, teal/greenish hair, and brown eyes, often dressed in a chef-inspired outfit that incorporates Bug-type motifs like antennas and segmented details to reflect her specialty.

Personality-wise, she's upbeat, friendly, and passionate about baking delicious sweets—believing that both pastries and Bug-type Pokémon can be small yet surprisingly powerful. However, she has a strict side and won't tolerate rudeness or disrespect (especially in her kitchen), calmly but firmly removing troublemakers if needed.

She serves as an important figure in Liko's Terastal training arc, where she tests and mentors challengers (including through creative baking challenges involving Pokémon), and she uses Pokémon like Teddiursa (which can Terastallize) and Lokix in battles. Overall, she's a warm, supportive character with a no-nonsense edge when the situation calls for it.
