Ilima

Ilima is a recurring character in the Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon anime, appearing as a charismatic and highly regarded graduate of the Pokémon School in the Alola region.

He is depicted as a slender young man with dark skin, medium-length light pink hair, and light blue eyes. He typically wears a cream-colored sweater vest with a brown diamond pattern over a white undershirt, paired with long white pants, brown-and-white shoes, blue socks, a blue bag, and a glove on his left hand.

In the anime, Ilima is known as the "Pokémon School Prince" due to his charming, polite, and popular personality—especially among the female students. He is wise, sympathetic, empathetic toward Pokémon, and emphasizes understanding and bonding with them (such as refusing to force evolution on his partner Eevee without its consent). Despite his refined and dignified demeanor outside of battle, he becomes intensely passionate and strategic during Pokémon battles.

He is a former top student who studied abroad in Kalos and participated in the Kalos League before returning to Alola, where he serves as a Trial Captain (specializing in Normal-type Pokémon, like in the games). He makes notable appearances starting in episodes like "Turning Heads and Training Hard!" where he visits the school and interacts with Ash and the class.
